In villages, Santali people show their fascinating and beautiful art in various things, for example, the paintings they make, the piece of art they used in building their houses and even in making bowls or you can simply say plates made of leaves of the Sal tree.

The resources they use in making this beautiful creation of arts are mostly found in nature. In the Santhal community, everything is very unique and clean whether it is the way they live their life or the way they balance the ecosystem with their needs.

Most of the Santali's are situated in villages and some of moving towards towns in order to overcome the problems they are facing due to the restrictions and the high prices of everything. In ancient times, Santhals used to keep up with nature and they were grateful towards their ecosystem they are having but now the growth in mankind and industries which are taking the peaceful environment and lands of villages and turning them into unpeaceful place. The traditional art of the Santhal community is way more interesting than any other things. The way they do the hard work to create those beautiful arts is really very great. You can see their creativity and artistic skills in the way they build their houses or in the way they hatch the roof or even in the way they decorate the floors and the designing of the doors and in the beautiful paintings.

In villages, most of the houses of Santali peoples are made up of soils clay and they do not use any bricks or blocks of cement. In Santali culture, they did not use any artificial instruments to build their houses they mainly prefer doing it by hands and it's a natural way they make their houses and even the plates made up of the leaves of the Sal tree so uniquely design.

I think you might know that the Sal tree is a sacred tree of the Santhal community, they worship this tree and use it for making plates and bowls. They attach leaves of the Sal tree with the help of the dry stick of the Neem to make a unique type of plate what they call is Fudhu.
